Kolkata Literary Carnival 2026 Concludes on a Grand Note

The fourth edition of the ‘Kolkata Literary Carnival 2026’, organized by Ukiyoto Publishing, was successfully held over two days on 14th and 15th February 2026 in Kolkata. The vibrant literary celebration brought together authors, writers, artists, and distinguished guests from across India and abroad, turning the city into a hub of creative exchange and cultural dialogue.

Founded in 2019, Ukiyoto Publishing has steadily built a thriving global literary community of over 5,000 domestic and international authors. The publishing house has released more than 5,000 titled books across genres and has printed over one million copies in paperback and hardback formats. This year’s carnival was hosted at Ukiyoto House and the prestigious Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Kolkata. The two-day event featured an engaging lineup of talk shows, book launches, panel discussions, and award felicitation ceremonies across diverse genres and literary categories.

Mr. Pranav Gupta, Vice President of the Federation of Indian Publishers, graced the 15th February program at ICCR as one of the Chief Guests. Addressing the gathering, he highlighted the growing importance of independent publishing platforms in nurturing emerging voices and strengthening India’s global literary presence.

Speaking about the event’s success, Mr. Arjun Chaudhuri, Director of Ukiyoto Publishing, remarked, “This was the largest turnout in the past four years.” He emphasized that the carnival has evolved into a significant literary platform, fostering meaningful interactions between writers, readers, and industry professionals.

Authors from various parts of the world attended the event to network, exchange ideas, and celebrate literature in all its forms. The carnival not only provided opportunities for collaboration and exposure but also reinforced Kolkata’s reputation as a city deeply rooted in literary and cultural heritage.
