“Connecting All” — INTERNATIONAL MEDIA GUILD Hosts Socio-Cultural Welfare Programme in Kolkata

Upholding its core motto “Connecting All,” the INTERNATIONAL MEDIA GUILD (IMG) organized a socio-cultural welfare programme on the evening of 6 February at Jibanananda Sabhaghar, Nandan Campus, Kolkata. The event brought together achievers from diverse fields, social organizations, and cultural platforms, reinforcing IMG’s commitment to social awareness and inclusive growth.

Under the leadership of renowned social influencer Asish Basak, Founder-Chairperson of INTERNATIONAL MEDIA GUILD, the prestigious UTKARSHA SAMMAN was conferred upon distinguished personalities for their remarkable contributions to society. The awardees included former MLA Adv. Dr. Sourav Chakraborty, writers Banani Sikdar, Dr. S. Yasmin, and Prof. Dr. Pratapranjan Hazra, healer Dr. Suresh Agarwal, and noted reciter Sikha Hazra.

A special Health Awareness Seminar was an integral part of the programme, where eminent cardiologist Dr. Navanil Biswas addressed the audience on the importance of a balanced diet, regular exercise, and periodic health check-ups for maintaining a healthy heart and overall well-being. The seminar was efficiently coordinated by Indrani Ghosh, Marketing Manager of Techno India DAMA Hospital, Kolkata.

During the event, the poster of the upcoming socio-cultural welfare programme “TORI” was officially unveiled by Saraswati Bhandar and URJAA. TORI is scheduled to be held on 21 February at Hazra Sujata Sadan, further extending IMG’s social outreach initiatives.

The occasion also witnessed the re-launch of the best-seller “Story of My Life – Part 1” authored by Chennai-based philanthropist Dr. Barbara Thyab Ali, in the presence of several dignitaries.

The programme was graced by senior members of the Rotary Club of Kasba and Lions Club of Kolkata Magnates, including Prof. Dr. Parthasarathi Chakraborty, Sovan Chakraborty, Prof. Dr. Seema Singh, Mahesh Burman, Adv. Basu Deo Agarwal, Dr. Vivekananda Chakraborty, poets Prajna Parijat and Sanchita Das, and former DCP Manoj Das.

Adding cultural vibrancy to the evening, talented reciters presented captivating performances that were warmly appreciated by the audience.

In his concluding address, IMG Founder Asish Basak urged everyone to engage in positive social work and join the growing family of INTERNATIONAL MEDIA GUILD, an organization steadfastly dedicated to the vision of “Connecting All.”
