Kolkata, September 26, 2026: The North 24 Parganas District Roller Skating Championship 2026 was successfully completed at the Eco Park Skating Rink, Block A, Kolkata. The championship featured three competitive events—500 metres, 1000 metres and the One-Lap Road Race.
A key highlight of the venue is that Eco Park Block A is the first international-standard flat skating track in West Bengal, providing a suitable platform for competitive roller skating.
The district championship serves as an important qualifying stage for the upcoming State Championship. The best-performing medallists will have the opportunity to represent West Bengal at the 64th National Roller Skating Championships, scheduled to be held in Karnataka from December 5 to 15, 2026.
The championship was organised by the North 24 Parganas District Roller Skating Association, affiliated to the Bengal Skating Association, the recognised state association affiliated with the Roller Skating Federation of India (RSFI) and World Skate.
The successful completion of the championship reflects the growing interest in roller skating in Bengal and provides young skaters with a pathway to compete at the national and international levels.
