“Surobitan” – Dr. Asok Ray’s first solo music albumThe much-awaitedaudio music album “Surobitan” has been formally launched during a lively evening at Jugalbandi Academy, located at Beleghata-Fulbagan. This is the first solo music album by Dr. Asok Ray, a passionate singer and a professionally acclaimed gynaecologist. He remarked that this album is an embodiment of his life-long dream. His love for music started from his early school days but the practice of songs was stopped for about thirty years due to study and then being a doctor.
From 2016 onwards, he has re-started his musical pursuit and has been taking proper training.Since 2017, Dr. Asok Ray has performed solo in various prestigious auditoriums and has been awarded by high profile organisations for his melodious rendition.The launch ceremony of SUROBITAN on 8th Oct. at JUGALBANDI ACADEMY was attended by several dignitaries and well-wishers of Dr. Asok Ray.The music composition of this album is by Kaustav Sen Barat and commentary by Pratyusha Chakraborty.’Surobitan’ has a collection of eight songs, all from the Golden Age, sung by Dr. Asok Ray.
