“Language in Language” — Jharna Bhattacharya’s New Poetry Collection Launched on Mother’s Day.

In a fitting tribute to the essence of expression and identity, celebrated poet, lyricist, and social worker Jharna Bhattacharya launched her fourth poetry collection, “Floating in Language”, on the sacred occasion of Mother’s Day, observed on the second Sunday of May. The venue was none other than Kolkata’s beloved Coffee House, a timeless haven for artists and thinkers.

Published by Barta Publishing, the book was released amid an intimate gathering of poetry lovers, friends, and fellow writers who came together to honor both the power of language and the poet’s enduring literary spirit.

Reflecting on the significance of the day, Jharna said with quiet emotion, “I have heard the language of my mother since I was a child, and it is a great achievement to have my book published on the day dedicated to that mother.” Her words echoed a deep reverence not just for maternal love, but for the very roots of linguistic identity.
