Ghosh Para Sangrampur Committee Organises Grand Chhath Puja in Newtown

The Sangrampur Committee of Ghosh Pāra in Newtown organised a grand and devotional Chhath Puja celebration, marked by traditional rituals and large-scale community participation.

The event saw the presence of several distinguished guests, including the committee’s chairman and MLA Tapas Chatterjee, Ward 2 Councillor and MMIC Rahima Bibi Mondal, Borough 1 Chairman Shahnawaz Ali Mondal, MMIC Aratrika Bhattacharya, social worker Shyamal Ghosh, Saheb Ali, ENT specialist Prof. Dr. Somanath Saha, patron Santosh Kumar Balmiki, president Ashok Kumar Pandit, Anil Saw, Munna Lal Sam (secretary), Vijay Saw, Laxman Vishwakarma, Sushant De, Badobhai, Madan Kumar Jha, Kali Prasad Jaiswal Dubela, Rajendra Ram, Mitali Khan, Mampi Mondal, Vimal Pradhan, Santosh Thakur, Vikas Balmiki and many other prominent personalities.

All the guests offered arghya and prayed to the Sun God, seeking blessings for prosperity and well-being. The programme was conducted smoothly under the supervision of event coordinator Monalisa Di.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, prasad was distributed among passersby and devotees, adding to the spirit of harmony and devotion that marked the occasion.
