Dr. S. K. Agarwal Honoured with Peace Leadership and Excellence Award
On the occasion of the United Nations’ International Day of Peace, celebrated on Sunday at the M.P. Birla Planetarium, eminent physician and peace ambassador Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal was conferred with the prestigious Peace Leadership and Excellence Award.
The honour was jointly presented by the Lions Club of Kolkata Magnates and the Rotary Club of Kasba in recognition of Dr. Agarwal’s outstanding contributions towards promoting peace and harmony worldwide through Yoga, Meditation, and Holistic Healing programmes. His initiatives, rooted in ethical values, aim at the well-being of individuals, communities, and the environment.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Agarwal expressed gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed his lifelong mission of spreading peace across the globe.
The award ceremony was graced by several distinguished personalities, including Adv. Nandlal Singhania, Past President of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Shri Ashok Lodha, Shri Ghanshyam Sugla, and Dr. Parthasarathi, CEO of MCKV Group of Institutions. Together, they presented the award to Dr. Agarwal, amid warm applause from the gathering.
Speaking on the occasion, dignitaries lauded Dr. Agarwal’s relentless efforts to promote peace through spiritual wisdom and holistic practices. The event strongly resonated with the UN’s global call to “Act Now for a Peaceful World.”
