Dubai will host grand celebration of Bengali Cinema — “5 Star Film Awards Bangla and Odia Cinema 2025”

Dubai is all set to witness a spectacular evening celebrating the excellence of Bengali and Odia cinema at the “5 Star Film Awards Bengal & Odia 2025”, scheduled to be held on 23rd November, 2025, at the prestigious Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, Dubai.
A Press Conference was recently organized at The Spring Club, Kolkata, where the organizers RR Events and Cine Production, along with Bhawna Aaj O Kal, shared details about this grand international event.
The conference was attended by renowned Entrepreneur and Film Producer Shri Ramesh Barik, acclaimed actress Rituparna Sengupta and show director Debraj Ghoshal who highlighted the significance of bringing together two culturally rich film industries — Bengal and Odisha — on one global platform.
The grandeur of the occasion was elevated with the esteemed presence of luminaries such as Renowned Bengali Actor Jeet, Rituparna Sengupta, Pooja Banerjee, Payel Sarkar, Anirban Chakraborty, Susmita Chatterjee, Trina Saha, Sourasini Moitra, Biswanath Basu, Kanchan Mollick, Lahoma Bhattacharjee, Film Director Raja Chanda, Joydeep Mukherjee, Singer Iman Chakraborty, Rathijit Bhattacharjee from Bengali Film Industry and renowned actor Kuna Tripathy, Seetal Patra, Sivani Sangita, Boomika, Suryamayee, Diya, Apsara Rani, Sritam Das, Debasish Parta, Singer Satyajit PradhanSinger Bhagyashri Mohanty from Odia Film Industry. Renowned Indian Actor Moonmoon Sen and renowned Odia actor Mahesweta Ray will be honouring by ‘ Life Time Achievement’ Award for their enduring grace, glamour, and artistic excellence that defined the golden age of cinema.
The show will be directed by renowned Choreographar and Show director Mr. Debraj Ghoshal.
The Dubai event will be graced by Shri Madan Mitra, Hon’ble MLA as the Chief Guest, alongside distinguished personalities from the Indian film fraternity including Shri Ramesh Barik, Rituparna Sengupta, Debraj Ghosal (Show Director), Filmmaker Premendu Bikas Chaki, Mrinmoy Kanjilal, Arnab Saha and several eminent directors, producers, and artists from both Bengal and Odisha.
RR Events and Cine Production, known for curating successful international award shows in Dubai and Singapore, announced plans for another grand cinematic celebration in the United Kingdom in May 2026, under the leadership of Film Producer Shri Ramesh Barik.
