‘KRITI UTKARSH SAMMAN 2025’ won by the versatile Tulika Majumder

Tulika Majumder had won ‘KRITI UTKARSH SAMMAN 2025’ ((Achiever’s Excellence Award), held at Kolkata PRESS CLUB on 3rd August evening.
The grand felicitation ceremony was conducted by socio-cultural motivator Asish Basak.
The program was organized by HELLO KOLKATA (3-Dimensional News-Media, Events, PR and Films), aided by LIONS CLUB OF KOLKATA MAGNATES and ROTARY CLUB OF KASBA.
Achievers from different sectors, including Tulika, a multi-talented genius, was felicitated.

She is a successful corporate employee for 21 years running.

Always a bookworm and having a way with words, it was her dream to get her work published to the world.

During the 1st phase of Covid lockdown, a lot of old work finally came together to form her 1st book “Saat Kando” with Asian Press Books, since then books of different genres namely “Digantarekha” & “Machranga” are already published.

Currently she has 11 published titles in her kitty, each having a significant dash of imagination, romance and thrills, the latest to the league of her Bengali books being a compilation of horror stories called “Choturbhoy”, “Sharbar” & “Bhoy Pawa Bhalo Nay”.

Am efficient professional and a mother of a 18 year old son, she is all set to make a mark in the minds of readers as a Bilingual Author.

Her recent work in English is a full length binge novella titled “The Web of Lies- A Regency Mystery” and it was published by Asian Press Books at the prestigious Press Club of Kolkata amid eminent writing personalities.

She is all set to write a series of such novellas to make the tea-time for readers an interesting one. Her recent English work includes books like “Petrichor” & “The Princely Affair” which are self translations of her Bengali books.

At present she has 15 published books to her credit. Through the recent years, several of her stories got adapted into audio stories and even short films which got widely acclaimed.

In 2024, she got decorated with multiple awards from State and Central Government recognised body with the latest being an Honorary Doctorate Degree conferred by Global Peace Foundation and Vocational University for her research based work and published papers on Public Administration. She is also a Ph.D. Aspirant in the same curriculum.

Apart from her corporate and literary pursuits, Tulika is known for her philanthropic work. A regular patron to several NGOs for destitute and street animals, she is one of the Trustee members of “Jharna Dutta Roy (Banerjee) Memorial Trust” founded in the memory of her late mother and involved in religious and social work.

On Tulika’s short story – BONDI SMRITI, an innovative short film was made in 2023, directed by Asish Basak. It was screened at Nandan during an International Short Films’ Fest.

‘KRITI UTKARSH SAMMAN 2025’ ((Achiever’s Excellence Award) is justifiably won by Tulika Majumder for her versatility. Her perseverance & dedication for creative compositions are reflected in her series of best-sellers, short stories, poems & short film. She is a dedicated GREEN activist & Animal Lover. She regularly supports socio-cultural welfare initiatives of various organizations, besides being an efficient high-profile corporate job-holder.
