Tribute to Dr. Manasa Charan Malaker by sons and family at Malakar Plaza, Kolkata

Tribute to Dr. Manasa Charan Malaker (1901-1977), an acclaimed Surgeon of Orissa on his 125th Birth Anniversary, was conducted by his 4 illustrious sons at Malakar Plaza, Kolkata on 30th March.

Reminiscing the happy days with their father, the 5 sons and family members like Sumita & Ashim spoke briefly about how Dr. Malakar had nurtured them all to be successful and contented in life.

Dr. Kamal Malakar (world famous oncologist based in Canada), Dr. Sajalendu Malakar (ex-President of Indian Medical Association, Bhubaneswar), Nirmal Malakar (Bank Manager), Utpal Malakar (senior Engineer) and Parimal Malakar (Merchant Navy officer) marked their speech with varying emotions.

Here’s to the Best Father of the Universe, a man who taught us everything, who supported us in every step we took through our lives.
Thank you, Baba, for being our role model, our super hero, our best friend, our mentor, our biggest source of strength.
We can’t thank you enough for being in our lives.
However we would simply like to console ourselves by saying the following to our beloved Baba :–
“If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane,
We would walk right up to Heaven and bring YOU home again.”

The evening witnessed a collage of songs and recitations, preceded by a brief Salutation Ceremony by HELLO KOLKATA.

Asish Basak, Editor-Director of HELLO KOLKATA (3 D News) presented a Plaque of Eulogy on Dr. Manasa Charan Malaker to the 4 Malakar Brothers.
