‘Ukiyoto Publishing’ organized Book Launch and Authors’ Round

Ukiyoto Publishing is a traditional publishing company with a community of 5000+ domestic and international authors and having published over 4000 books till date.

Ukiyoto Publishing’s robust distribution network has over 3,00,000 printed books, being circulated across various countries.

Ukiyoto harbours in the iconic Indian Coffee House building in the 2nd Floor at Ukiyoto House, Boichitra, established in 1921. Speaking of the cultural heritage in the prime spot in the bustling literary hub of the City of Joy, Ukiyoto House is a vibrant engagement center for authors, writers, musicians, book lovers, artists, and creators from various fields.

​On 5th April, 2025, Ukiyoto House saw talented authors displaying and showcasing their books with talk shows and interactions engaging in active conversations with the visiting audience.

Eminent authors as Kuntala Bhattacharya, Tulika Majumdar, Sankalita Roy, Sarbajit Chowdhury, Katy Chow, Ruma Paul and teenage writer, Aryan Majumdar were present for their launches.

The program was chaired by Guest of Honour, Mr. Shahenshah Mirza, IRS Officer, GST Department of the Ministry of Finance and Descendant of Nawab Wajid Ali Shah.

While Kuntala spoke about her books, Time for Thrills, Anubhuti, Shibpuran, she has been an active Ukiyoto author and had participated in more than ten other books and collaborative projects.

Tulika Majumdar had been one of the finest authors in the coming times with her writings in both English and Bengali and covering the genres of Crime, Thriller, Mystery and Mythology and has produced few of the best content in the past years. She released her comics along with Aryan Majumdar which were The Chronicles of Aryavarta, Moon Cursed, Chillz and Shivers, Kaleidoscope and several others. Aryan’s creation of The Chronicles of Aryavarta along with Tulika’s Moon Cursed has been developed into LED Lamps which is a new product of Ukiyoto.

Sankalita Roy spoke about her poetry and recitation and launched her new title, She Sways Silent Storms. She had been a part of Ukiyoto family for more than 3 years. Her previous book was Olive Green while she had also taken part in several collective projects with Ukiyoto.

Katy Chow spoke about her book, Ghost of the Snows which is a new release and had been the Editor’s Choice ever since. The book is a trans-Himalayan story, set in the cold desert regions of Ladakh, in the Pin Valley area which sits almost 14,000 feet above sea level. This is the land of the legendary and elusive big-cat- the magical Snow Leopard, and also a land of its lovers, like our hero Phunsok who will cross the limit of his own life to protect it, even on the day that is dedicated to his own well-being and longevity. Sarbajit Chowdhury spoke about his book, The Sluggish Fire. He has been an active award winning Ukiyoto author and is an eminent face in many Ukiyoto Literary Events.

Ruma Paul released her Bengali title, Amar Rojnamcha – Biswakarma Puja – Gari Puja, which has already started selling a lot on online channels by pre-orders and popular demand. This book has been the pick of the month and a one to be read by all Bengali book lovers. The book is produced in all three formats of paperback, hardback and digital version and is available online for purchase.
