Dr. S. K. Agarwal honored with GitaAcharya Award

A distinguished Socio-Cultural Welfare Program was held on Saturday, 18th October 2025, at Jibanananda Sabhaghar, Nandan Campus, Kolkata, organized by the Literary, Cultural & Social Forum (LCSF). The event brought together eminent personalities from diverse fields of literature, education, social service, and culture, creating an inspiring atmosphere of dialogue and celebration.

The highlight of the program was the presentation of the prestigious “Gita Acharya Award” to Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal, Director of the International Institute of Lifestyle Medicine, in recognition of his remarkable contribution to spiritual and philosophical literature. Dr. Agarwal has authored three highly acclaimed books on the Bhagavad Gita, offering deep insights into its timeless wisdom and its application to modern life. His works have been widely appreciated for their clarity, depth and universal appeal, promoting peace and self-realization through the teachings of the Gita.

The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Veteran CA Basudev Ghosh, Director of Rotary Club of Kasba; Prof. Dr. Parthasarathi Chakraborty, CEO of MCKEV Group of Colleges; Tapas Biswas, Parimal Malakar, Sangita Das, Debasish Chowdhury, Basudeo Agarwal, Prof. Dr. Sudipto Bhattacharjee, Dipak Dikshit and Ashish Basak, among others. Each of them expressed appreciation for the efforts of LCSF in promoting literary and cultural awareness and congratulated Dr. Agarwal for his inspiring contributions to the world of knowledge and spirituality.
