45 years-old Kali Puja by veteran artist Prosenjit Acharya & Family at Dhakuria Nazirbagan wins ‘Hello Kolkata Deepabali Samman 2025’

On 23rd October, 2025 during Kali Puja, socio-cultural motivator Partha Pratim Bose (an eminent Archaeologist and Art lover, President of “Dhree” – a socio-cultural organization), led ‘Hello Kolkata’ media team to visit “Shilpa Bharati Art School”.  at At Dhakuria Nazirbagan, this is the house of a renowned artist, Prosenjit Acharya. Here, for the last 45 years Devi Kali-Mata is being worshipped with great zeal and fanfare in different forms every year.

   Artist Prosenjit Acharya had visualised the forms of the idol of Kali Ma in his dream. This year the silk colour of the idol is bright brown. The background of the Chalchitra and idol of Mahadev (Shiva) are in ash colour. Intricately designed Chalchitra and bright smiling face of Devi showcases the radiant devotion of the Artist Prosenjit Acharya and his family.

       As a mark of appreciation of this wonderful artwork & spiritual excellence, ‘Hello Kolkata’ Editor-Director Asish Basak, himself a writer & film-maker, handed over the Certificate and Memento of ‘HELLO KOLKATA DEEPAVALI SAMMAN 2025’ to Prosenjit Acharya & Family, in presence of Partha Bose & other dignitaries.

    ‘Hello Kolkata Puja Parikrama’ is supported by LIONS Club Of Kolkata MAGNATES and Rotary Club Of Kasba. The Club members also praised the efforts of Acharya family, continuing its legacy for 45 years.
