Uniting West Bengal for Climate Resilience: A Seminar of Science, Spirit, Mind and Music

The Climate Protection Forum founded by Swarup De, an Energy Professional from Jadavpur University recently hosted a fusion event of Energy, environment, mental health and music on 20th September 2025 evening at Malakar Plaza, Santoshpur, Kolkata, bringing together voices from academia, psychologist, civil society, business, and the arts to ignite a collective dialogue on climate resilience.

By blending knowledge with creativity, the event underscored both the urgency of climate action and the power of community engagement.
The gathering saw participation from environmentalists, professors, social entrepreneurs, renewable energy professionals, and music artists—a coalition united by one common goal: to confront the risks of climate change and co-create pathways for mitigation and adaptation. Conversations ranged from community-driven resilience strategies to innovative financing models, emphasizing the role of international climate donors and climate finance institutions in empowering grassroots initiatives.
As the Forum noted, “Mitigation and adaptation are not parallel tracks—they are harmonies in the same song of survival.”
