Pragyan Foundation & Lions Club of Kolkata Magnates Host Heartwarming Raksha Bandhan Celebration at Press Club

The Press Club, Kolkata, came alive with colours, music, and heartfelt emotions as Pragyan Foundation, in collaboration with the Lions Club of Kolkata Magnates, hosted a culturally rich Raksha Bandhan celebration on Saturday.

The gathering welcomed distinguished personalities from diverse spheres — celebrated sitarist Parthapratim Roy (Cultural Advisor, Rotary Club of Kasba), Asish Basak (Charter President, Lions Club of Kolkata Magnates), Yoga-Guru Chandan Das, educationist Prof. Dr. Tinni Dutta, journalist Papri Das, poet Sangita Das, among others, who added grace and warmth to the occasion.

The festival, rooted in love and mutual respect, was marked by the tying of sacred rakhis, not just between brothers and sisters, but across communities, symbolising universal brotherhood, trust, and shared responsibility. The event’s message went beyond familial ties, promoting unity, peace, and social harmony.

In their addresses, the organisers urged everyone to cherish India’s cultural heritage while nurturing compassion, respect, and mutual support. The day concluded with the sharing of festive sweets and heartfelt greetings, leaving guests with a renewed commitment to togetherness and harmony.
