Jharna Bhattacharjee, Founder of SARASWATI BHANDAR, promotes Communal Harmony during ‘BACK TO SCHOOL’ – a co-curricular project ideated by Asish Basak

JHARNA BHATTACHARJEE, eminent poet, lyricist, elocutionist and social worker, is the Founder of SARSWATI BHANDAR and the esteemed Cultural Ambassador of LIONS CLUB OF KOLKATA MAGNATES.
On 23.7.25, Jharna celebrated her Birthday with donation of
Spiritual Guide Books of All Religions to the library of ULTADANGA UNITED HIGH SCHOOL.

Jharna Bhattacharjee believes that proper studying of Religious Texts will help students understand the virtues and avoid the vices.

Jharna also generously distributed chocolates amongst 100 students, staff & teachers of this WB High School, located near Gouri Bari, Central Kolkata.

Jharna’s unique birthday celebration was the Focal Theme of “BACK TO SCHOOL”, a co-curricular initiative ideated by social influencer Asish Basak.
Instituted as a response to “Un-Lock COVID-19”, HELLO KOLKATA (3-Dimensional News-Media, Publications, Events, Promotions and Films) is organizing a series of intra-school programs under ‘BACK TO SCHOOL’.
Supported by ROTARY CLUB OF KASBA and LIONS CLUB OF KOLKATA MAGNATES, a host of dignitaries from various sectors of life visited United HS on 23rd July and conducted a brief motivational session with teachers and students.
The School Library was presented with Holy Books like Gita, Koran, Bible, Tripitaka, etc.
Fitness expert Madhusatta Chowdhury and motivator Nishant B. handed over pens to the students and also spoke on the importance of studying Gita.
Internationally acclaimed Spiritual Guru Dr. Suresh Agarwal, President of ROTARY KASBA, presented his own composition on Gita.
Social worker Prakash Killa distributed Holy texts.
Social welfare supporters like Subir Roychowdhury, Bappa, Sunit Pal, Sandwip Guha, Rajendra Dubey and Subhajit Duttagupta (Founder of WE ARE THE COMMON PEOPLE) distributed sweets and gifts.
Asish Basak (Editor-Director of HELLO KOLKATA), LION MAGNATE Jharna Bhattacharjee and Rtn. Dr. Suresh Agarwal handed over SARASWATI VANDANA Award and Certificate to United HS Headmaster Tarun Chakraborty.

A few students also expressed their views on importance of Holy Texts.
Asish Basak, ideator of BACK TO SCHOOL, gave the Vote of Thanks to all the guests and members of ULTADANGA UNITED HIGH SCHOOL.
He said the main aim of BACK TO SCHOOL is to promote Communal Harmony, Peace, Fraternity, Discipline and Infotainment.
Asish Basak remarked that they will continue this sort of activity in other schools to ensure better bonding between teachers & students. This will also provide a welcome break from daily monotony, ensuring the seniors to be Nostalgic and walk down the Memory Lane, reminisce in their golden oldie days through BACK TO SCHOOL.
