Charnock Hospitals and Philips Forge Strategic Partnership to Strengthen Healthcare Infrastructure in West Bengal

Kolkata, October 7, 2026: Charnock Hospitals has announced a strategic partnership with Philips, a global leader in health technology, to strengthen healthcare delivery and expand integrated healthcare infrastructure across its existing and upcoming facilities in West Bengal.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Charnock Hospitals and Philips will collaborate on the deployment of critical care technologies and integrated healthcare solutions aimed at enhancing patient care and enabling more consistent, efficient and scalable healthcare delivery.
As hospital networks continue to expand, connected technologies can play a crucial role in enabling healthcare professionals to access clinical information and coordinate patient care more effectively across departments and locations. Through the partnership, Philips will support the deployment of integrated, digitally enabled solutions across key areas including radiology, cardiology, patient monitoring and enterprise informatics.
The two organisations also intend to explore joint training and development initiatives aimed at strengthening the capabilities of healthcare professionals and building a more technology-enabled workforce.
Speaking on the occasion, Bharath Sesha, Managing Director, Philips Indian Subcontinent, said that as healthcare capacity expands, equal emphasis must be placed on creating connected care environments where technology, data and clinical expertise work together. He said the partnership with Charnock Hospitals is intended to bring technological capabilities and clinical requirements together from the outset and establish a strong foundation for consistent care as the hospital network grows.
He added that Charnock Hospitals has been steadily expanding its healthcare presence in West Bengal and Philips is pleased to partner with the organisation in its continued growth journey.
Prashant Sharma, Managing Director, Charnock Hospitals, said the organisation’s priority while expanding its healthcare footprint is to build hospitals capable of delivering consistent, high-quality experiences for both patients and clinicians.
He emphasised that achieving this objective requires robust technology integration and a partner capable of understanding the requirements of healthcare systems as they scale. According to Sharma, the partnership with Philips reflects a shared vision of developing future-ready hospitals that are efficient, connected and firmly centred on patient care.
The strategic collaboration is expected to contribute to the development of an integrated healthcare ecosystem in West Bengal, combining advanced medical technologies, digital connectivity and clinical expertise to support improved healthcare delivery.
